This should be the first week of my taper leading up the the Country Music Marathon. To this point, I haven’t cut back any. I think in the past, using Hal Higdon’s plans, that maybe taper in his plan is a little severe. So this time, I’m cutting back but not that much until the final week.

Today I swam at lunch for about 20 minutes and then ran 5 miles when I got home from work. I wanted it to be a recovery run so I kept my heart rate down.
