A Great Ending

August 31 is the end of the meteorological summer, but today felt more like Fall.  The humidity was low and with the wind from the North, it was a very pleasant 70 degrees. It was a great afternoon for a 5 mile recovery run.

Logged 192 miles this first month of training for the St. Jude Marathon.

Wow, that’s a solid month. Good for you.

Still shooting for a sub 4 in Memphis???

    Yeah, nice morning…what a switch!!

Always trying for a sub 4. Maybe one day I’ll make it.

Good month — 192 miles! I ran late morning (Outer Banks) in the rain and it was a good 6 miles. I barely made 100 miles this month but it’s my 30th straight month of 100+ miles. Since we’re heading back overseas in a week, it’s probably my last 100 mile month for awhile — at least until I get settled into a new location/job.

    You can go sub 4!!

The course description on their site cracked me up. Sounds like an oxymoron to me…

Runners and walkers will enjoy a course that’s relatively flat with rolling hills…

    heehee!!
