When we last left our hero….
It turned cold here just in time for Easter. I had Good Friday off work so I waited and ran mid-day. It was a pace run. My time was 45:11, a 9:01 pace.
Friday afternoon we have snow fluries. It was strange. Everything was green and snow.
Saturday morning it was 23 degrees when I left the house. The yards in the neighborhood were full of yard ghost where folks had covered up plants with sheets.
This was my last long run before the Country Music Marathon. Needless to say, I didn’t wear what I plan to on race day. Saturday morning’s attire was tights, layers cap and gloves. I stuck to my normal plan of a 5 mile warm up and then the last 15 keeping my heart rate between 140 and 157. The total time was 3:08:58, a 9:27 pace. The last 15 miles were at a 9:13 pace.
Took Easter Sunday as a rest day, and after being at church most of the morning, I needed a rest!
Ran 5 miles this afternoon. It had warmed up to the mid-50s but the wind from the south was still cool. Time: 45:14, a 9:02 pace.

Great job! I can’t believe it’s nearly race day!
