Daily Run

It was in the mid-50 with the wind from the southwest at 5 when I left the house this morning at 5:45. Hard to believe it is January. I know days like this are a gift.

The schedule called for a medium long run of 13 miles. So I ran the first 5 as warm up and then I tried to keep my heart rate between 140 and 155 during the last 8. Total time was 2:00:55 at a 9:18 pace. The last 8 miles were at an 8:56 pace.

My Total mileage for the week was 36 miles. So far, I have been pleased with the Pfitz training plan. My legs are tried but I feel good about the direction I’m heading (no pun intended). Each workout has a goal which is different from just putting in the mile.
